Who We Are

The Montreal Vineyard (House X) started as a house church in 2001 in Montreal, Quebec associated with the Vineyard Churches of Canada. We now rent a hall for our Sunday meetings but you can still find us congregating in homes for mid-week meetings, various get-togethers and special occasion feasts.

The purpose of the Montreal Vineyard is to build up the people of Christ in whatever way we can. Here are a few of the ways we have found to do that thus far:

1) Worship - This is where it all begins and ends - acknowledging God as the supreme Being and Lover of our souls.

2) Fellowship - One of the most important things we do as a group is eat! There is something special about building relationships over food and drink that binds people together as a community.

3) Teaching - We love to talk about Jesus and what He is up to.

4) Prophesy and prayer - We welcome the supernatural intervention of God through whatever means he chooses.

5) Healing - We love to pray for each other and ask God to intervene for any who need encouragement or are sick in body, mind, or spirit.

6) Outreach - We look for opportunities to practically show the love of God to people in our community and beyond.

7) Ministry - Just plain old spending time with people inside and outside of structured gatherings, bringing the presence of God wherever we go... this is what church is all about.

8) Resource - We want to help build up the church in Quebec.
